3. Well Built Wealth — business and role
Well Built Wealth is an independent financial planning firm based in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Well Built Wealth provides financial planning services to its clients. Well Built Wealth is not registered in any Canadian jurisdiction as a Portfolio Manager, an investment dealer, or an Investment Fund Manager, and does not provide discretionary investment management or trading services.
Portfolio management services described on the landing page are provided by Bold Wealth under the referral arrangement described in Section 4 below. Well Built Wealth's role is to refer suitable clients to Bold Wealth and to continue providing financial planning services to those clients.
4. The referral relationship and referral fees
Bold Wealth and Well Built Wealth have entered into a written referral arrangement in accordance with sections 13.7 through 13.10 of National Instrument 31-103. Under this arrangement:
- Well Built Wealth refers eligible clients to Bold Wealth for portfolio management services.
- Bold Wealth pays Well Built Wealth a referral fee, calculated as a percentage of the portfolio management fees Bold Wealth receives from the referred client.
- The referral fee is paid out of the portfolio management fees Bold Wealth charges the client and does not increase the total fees the client pays.
- The specific terms of the referral arrangement, including the amount or method of calculating the referral fee, are disclosed to each referred client in a written referral disclosure statement before any services are provided to the client.
- The referred client always retains the right to accept or decline the referral, to terminate the relationship with Bold Wealth or Well Built Wealth at any time, and to choose any service provider.
- Bold Wealth is responsible for the portfolio management services provided to referred clients. Well Built Wealth remains responsible for the financial planning services it provides.
5. iShares ETF performance data
The iShares ETF returns shown on the landing page (XEQT — iShares Core Equity ETF Portfolio; XGRO — iShares Core Growth ETF Portfolio; XBAL — iShares Core Balanced ETF Portfolio; XCNS — iShares Core Conservative Balanced ETF Portfolio; XINC — iShares Core Income Balanced ETF Portfolio) are trailing total returns sourced from each ETF's official fund performance disclosure. Total return includes changes in unit value and the reinvestment of all distributions, and is calculated net of the fund's management fee and operating expenses (the Management Expense Ratio).
Returns shown are gross of any portfolio management fees or financial planner referral fees that a client would pay under the Bold Wealth relationship. Different unit series or share classes of the same fund may produce different returns. Foreign-content currency movements can affect returns. Distributions are not guaranteed and can change. Past performance is not indicative of future results, and the value of an investment can rise or fall.
iShares ETF data is provided by BlackRock Asset Management Canada Limited and is used with attribution. Bold Wealth and Well Built Wealth are not affiliated with BlackRock or iShares. “iShares” and “BlackRock” and the ETF names referenced are the trademarks of BlackRock, Inc. or its affiliates.
6. Bold Wealth SMA composite performance
The Bold Wealth Growth SMA (target asset mix approximately 75% equity / 25% fixed income) and Bold Wealth Balanced SMA (target asset mix approximately 60% equity / 40% fixed income) performance figures shown on the landing page are composite return data as of April 30, 2026.
Composite construction.
- Each composite includes all discretionary, fee-paying client accounts under Bold Wealth's management that were managed to the applicable SMA's investment mandate for the full measurement period.
- Accounts are added to a composite at the start of the first full month of management to the applicable mandate and removed at the start of the month in which the account is closed or transferred out of the mandate.
Return methodology.
- Returns are calculated on a time-weighted basis to remove the effect of the timing of client cash flows.
- Returns are net of investment management fees, custody fees, and underlying fund expenses (including underlying ETF Management Expense Ratios).
- Returns are gross of any financial planner referral fees paid by Bold Wealth to Well Built Wealth under the arrangement described in Section 4.
- Returns are stated in Canadian dollars.
- Composite returns are rounded to two decimal places.
Individual client account performance will differ from the composite due to the timing of contributions and withdrawals, the tax circumstances of the account, and any client-specific personalization or constraints. Composite dispersion, additional performance periods, and the full performance calculation methodology are available on request.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Investment returns will fluctuate and the value of any investment can rise or fall.
7. Bank fund comparables
The Canadian bank fund returns shown alongside the Bold Wealth SMAs on the landing page reference publicly available fund performance data as of April 30, 2026, sourced from each respective fund's published performance disclosure documents.
- Series and class: comparables are presented in Series F (fee-based) where available. Scotia Essentials is presented in Series A as Scotia's fee-based equivalent.
- Comparability limits: the referenced bank funds are open-ended mutual funds. The Bold Wealth SMAs are separately managed accounts. Investment mandates, underlying holdings, asset allocations, tax treatment, fee structures, minimum investments, liquidity terms, and target investor profiles differ between these products. The comparison is illustrative only and is not an assertion that the products are equivalent investments or that the outcomes are comparable on a like-for-like basis.
- The “Big 5 bank average” shown on the landing page is a simple arithmetic average of the five referenced bank fund returns for the applicable time period.
All fund names and product designations referenced on the landing page are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Bold Wealth and Well Built Wealth are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the referenced financial institutions. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
8. Fee calculator
The fee calculator on the landing page is an illustrative tool intended to help clients and prospective clients model an approximate fee under Bold Wealth's tiered fee schedule. The calculator uses the fee schedule stated on the landing page, applies each tier's rate on a marginal basis (each band's rate applies only to the portion of the portfolio within that band), and displays the resulting weighted-average (“blended”) fee for the illustrated portfolio size.
- Outputs are illustrative estimates only and do not represent an offer, agreement, or guarantee of any specific fee, return, or outcome.
- Actual fees payable by a client are set out in the client's written investment management agreement and, where applicable, in the referral disclosure statement provided under the arrangement described in Section 4.
- Net-return figures shown by the calculator combine the illustrative Bold Wealth blended fee with historical iShares ETF total returns as described in Section 5. Those historical fund returns are already stated net of the underlying fund's Management Expense Ratio (MER); the Bold Wealth blended fee is applied on top and is not additive to the fund's MER. Fund MERs are set by the fund manager, change from time to time, and are not restated by Bold Wealth. Historical returns are not a prediction of future returns. The value of an investment can rise or fall.
- Bold Wealth may update its fee schedule from time to time. The illustration reflects the fee schedule in effect on the date shown on the landing page.
9. Custodian and investor protection
Under Bold Wealth's arrangement with Aviso Wealth, client assets managed by Bold Wealth are held in custody at Aviso Wealth, an independent Canadian wealth management firm.
- Aviso Wealth is regulated by the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO).
- Aviso Wealth is a member of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF). CIPF coverage protects client assets against the insolvency of a CIPF member up to specified limits, currently $1,000,000 per general account category and $1,000,000 per registered account category. CIPF coverage limits and eligibility are set by CIPF and may change; the current CIPF coverage brochure is available at cipf.ca.
- CIPF does not protect against, and clients can lose money as a result of, changes in the market value of investments, decisions of the portfolio manager, or other investment risk.
- Aviso Wealth is owned 50% by Desjardins Group and 50% by a limited partnership held by five provincial credit union centrals and The CUMIS Group Limited.
“Aviso Wealth” is a trademark of Aviso Wealth Inc. “Desjardins” is a trademark of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec. Bold Wealth is not affiliated with Aviso Wealth or Desjardins.
10. SPIVA reference
The 98.82% figure shown on the landing page is sourced from the SPIVA Canada Year-End 2025 Scorecard published by S&P Dow Jones Indices. It represents the percentage of active Canadian Equity funds that underperformed the S&P/TSX Composite Index over the 10-year period ending December 31, 2025 (measured on an absolute return basis). It is a category- and horizon-specific figure and is not an average across all SPIVA fund categories or across the SPIVA regional scorecards.
SPIVA (S&P Indices Versus Active) is a semi-annual research series published by S&P Dow Jones Indices comparing the returns of actively managed funds to their benchmarks. SPIVA publishes separate regional scorecards (Canada, U.S., Europe, Australia, Japan, India, MENA, Latin America, South Africa, and others). Results vary by geographic region, fund category, time horizon, and methodology (equal-weighted vs. asset-weighted, and gross vs. net of fees). Data used on the landing page is provided for informational and educational purposes only and is subject to the methodologies, definitions, universes, and limitations set out in the SPIVA source reports.

11. Client reporting portal (Addepar)
The Addepar-powered client reporting features referenced on the landing page are provided through Addepar, Inc. as a reporting and information-technology vendor. Reporting data is compiled from custodial records and market data feeds. While the reporting is designed to be accurate, reported values may lag or differ from other statements, and should not be relied on for tax or legal purposes without confirmation against official statements. The Addepar reporting environment is not a source of tax or legal advice.
“Addepar” is a trademark of Addepar, Inc. Bold Wealth is not affiliated with Addepar.
12. Forward-looking statements
Portions of the landing page contain forward-looking statements — statements that are not historical facts and that reflect current expectations regarding future events, investment approaches, or outcomes. Words such as “will,” “may,” “believe,” “intend,” “expect,” “plan,” “seek,” “anticipate,” and similar expressions identify forward-looking statements.
Forward-looking statements are subject to a wide range of assumptions, risks, and uncertainties, many of which are outside the control of Bold Wealth or Well Built Wealth, and actual results may differ materially from those anticipated. Neither Bold Wealth nor Well Built Wealth undertakes to update any forward-looking statement, except as required by applicable law.
13. Not personalized advice
Information on the landing page and in this disclosure is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not, and is not intended to constitute, personalized investment advice, an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy any security, or advice on any specific investor's circumstances. Descriptions of investment approaches, portfolios, and fees are general in nature and are not recommendations to any particular person.
Personalized investment advice will be provided only after appropriate onboarding, know-your-client, know-your-product, and suitability procedures have been completed under a written client agreement with Bold Wealth.
14. Tax and legal advice
Neither Bold Wealth nor Well Built Wealth provides tax or legal advice. Any tax-related or estate-related content on the landing page is general in nature and does not take into account any client's particular circumstances. Clients should consult a qualified tax professional and, where appropriate, legal counsel, regarding their specific circumstances before making decisions with tax or legal implications.
15. Jurisdiction and availability
The services described on the landing page are available only to residents of Canadian provinces and territories in which Bold Wealth is appropriately registered or is otherwise permitted to conduct business. Nothing on the landing page or in this disclosure constitutes an offer or solicitation to any person in any jurisdiction where such an offer or solicitation is not authorized or would be unlawful.
16. Privacy
Personal information collected through the landing page or through the client relationship is handled in accordance with Bold Wealth's privacy policy, which is available on request and at boldwealth.ca, and in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
17. Contact — questions and complaints

Complaints will be handled in accordance with Bold Wealth's complaint-handling procedures, which are provided to clients on account opening and are available on request. Clients also have the right to make a complaint directly to Bold Wealth's principal regulator or, in the case of ombuds resolution, to the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI).
18. About the War Chest page
Sections 18 through 25 provide the disclosures referenced on the co-branded "War Chest" cash management page. The War Chest page compares posted savings account rates, cash ETFs, guaranteed investment certificates (GICs), a short-term bond ETF, and the Bold Wealth Fixed Income Portfolio across different cash time horizons. The products compared differ in structure, risk, liquidity, insurance coverage, tax treatment, and minimums; the comparison is illustrative only and is not an assertion that the products are equivalent or interchangeable. Nothing on the War Chest page is a recommendation to any particular person. See also Sections 12 (forward-looking statements), 13 (not personalized advice), and 14 (tax and legal advice), which apply in full to the War Chest page.
19. Big 6 bank savings account rates
The savings account rates shown on the War Chest page are the standard posted annual interest rates on each bank's basic, non-promotional everyday savings or standard high-interest savings account (RBC High Interest eSavings; National Bank High Interest Savings Account; BMO Savings Amplifier; Scotiabank Momentum Plus, base rate; CIBC eAdvantage, base tier; TD Every Day Savings), as published on each bank's own website as of August 2026. The "Average Big 6" figure is a simple arithmetic average of the six posted rates shown.
Selection basis: for each bank, the page uses the standard posted rate on the bank's widely held everyday savings product, excluding promotional, introductory, bonus-tier, and balance-conditional rates. Several banks offer materially higher rates through promotional offers, premium tiers, or conditions, and challenger and online-only banks commonly post higher everyday rates than the accounts shown. Rates change frequently and without notice; confirm current rates directly with each institution. Deposits at the referenced banks are eligible for Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) coverage up to applicable limits per depositor, per insured category, per member institution; see cdic.ca.
All bank and product names are the trademarks of their respective owners. Bold Wealth and Well Built Wealth are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the referenced institutions.
20. Inflation and purchasing power illustration
The statement on the War Chest page that cash in a low-rate savings account loses purchasing power uses an assumed annual inflation rate of 3%, a hypothetical figure used for illustration only. The approximately 2.6% figure is the difference between the assumed inflation rate and the 0.38% average posted savings rate described in Section 19, and represents an approximate annual decline in real (inflation-adjusted) purchasing power, not a loss of nominal account value. Actual inflation varies over time and may be higher or lower than the assumed rate.
21. Cash ETF yields
The cash ETF yield shown on the War Chest page (approximately 2.10%) is representative of the current net yields to maturity published by Canadian high interest savings ETFs such as CSAV (CI High Interest Savings ETF) and PSA (Purpose High Interest Savings Fund) as of August 2026, after each fund's management fee and expenses. Cash ETF yields float with prevailing deposit rates negotiated by the fund and change without notice.
Cash ETF units are not deposits and are not CDIC-insured. The funds invest in deposit accounts at Canadian Schedule I banks, but CDIC coverage does not apply to investors' units. Units trade on an exchange; unit prices, while designed to be stable, are not guaranteed, and brokerage commissions may apply. Fund names are the trademarks of their respective managers; Bold Wealth and Well Built Wealth are not affiliated with CI Global Asset Management or Purpose Investments.
22. GIC rates and the Big 6 GIC average
The GIC rates shown on the War Chest page are each bank's posted rates for non-redeemable, annual-compounding GICs at the one-year and three-year terms, as published as of August 5, 2026. Posted rates exclude promotional and negotiated rates; investors may obtain higher rates through negotiation, promotions, or other institutions. The "Average Big 6 GIC" figure of 2.68% is the simple arithmetic average of the posted one-year average (2.58%) and three-year average (2.77%) shown in the rate table, and is a blended illustrative figure rather than the rate of any specific product or term.
GICs are guaranteed by the issuing institution as to principal and stated interest, and are eligible for CDIC coverage up to applicable limits. Non-redeemable GICs cannot be cashed before maturity, or can be cashed early only with the issuer's consent and typically with an interest penalty; the trade-off between rate and access is a material feature of the product.
23. Franklin Canadian Ultra Short Term Bond Fund (FHIS)
The 2.84% figure shown for the Franklin Canadian Ultra Short Term Bond Fund (FHIS) is the fund's published annualized distribution yield of 3.14% as of June 30, 2026, less Bold Wealth's 0.30% advisory fee applicable to cash management mandates. Distribution yield reflects the fund's recent distributions annualized against its net asset value; it is not the same as yield to maturity and can be higher or lower than the return an investor ultimately earns. Yields fluctuate and distributions are not guaranteed.
FHIS is an exchange-traded fund managed by Franklin Templeton. Units are not deposits and are not CDIC-insured; principal value can fluctuate, and units are subject to interest rate and credit risk. The presentation of FHIS on the War Chest page reflects Bold Wealth's product due diligence for short-horizon cash mandates and is general information only; it is not a recommendation to any particular person. Whether FHIS or any product is appropriate for a client is determined only through Bold Wealth's know-your-client and suitability process under a written client agreement. "Franklin Templeton" and the fund name are trademarks of Franklin Resources, Inc. or its affiliates; Bold Wealth and Well Built Wealth are not affiliated with Franklin Templeton.
24. Bold Wealth Fixed Income Portfolio — target yield
The approximately 4.50% figure shown for the Bold Wealth Fixed Income Portfolio is a target yield, net of Bold Wealth's advisory fee, as of August 2026. It is a target, not a forecast, projection, or guarantee, and actual realized yield and returns will differ and may be materially lower.
Material assumptions: the target reflects the portfolio's construction as of the date above. The portfolio is a discretionary mandate managed by the Bold Wealth PM team for cash horizons generally beyond 12 months; it is not a deposit, is not CDIC-insured, and is subject to interest rate, credit, and market-value risk, including possible loss of principal. Suitability is determined only through Bold Wealth's know-your-client process.
25. Cash comparison calculator
The calculator on the War Chest page is an illustrative and educational tool. It applies the posted or illustrative annual rates described in Sections 19 through 24 to a user-entered cash amount and time horizon using simple annualized interest, without compounding, and the figures produced are approximations only. The calculator does not account for taxes (interest and distributions are generally taxable in non-registered accounts), transaction costs, rate changes over the horizon, or market-value fluctuation in the fund products shown. Outputs are not personalized advice, are not a suitability determination, and are not an offer or a guarantee of any return. Any product identified by the calculator as typically used for a given horizon reflects general product characteristics only; whether any product is appropriate for a particular client is determined through Bold Wealth's know-your-client and suitability process. Consult a qualified tax professional regarding the tax treatment of any option shown.
